Paint Correction is the process of removing light to heavy scratches, swirls, holograms, hard water stains, orange peels, etching, and other imperfections from the paint's surface by machine polishing and/or wet-sanding.

Typical steps of our process:

Mint exterior wash

claybar & paintwork decontamination is carried out to remove natural particulates and minerals (e.g. iodines and metallics of iron contaminates, etc.)

Paintwork assessment

is precisely conducted by taking all the detailed measurements on every panel of the vehicle. This essential step does aid us in our determination of the measured quantity and quality of paint present for our ministrations performed.

Paintwork correction

is in so many ways effected via the use of a variety of machines/polishing pads and the application of a wide range of polishes and corrective compounds.

LEDs and halogen lights

are mainly utilized to simulate the car’s appearance under natural light, with the additional benefit of mainly exposing any damage revealed by the painted surface assessed process.

Minimum time required for multi-stage exterior paintwork: 12 hours.
Also Prices are based on hours, location, and our evaluation of your prized vehicle's paint condition.
Not all the time do we see 100% perfect vehicle going out the door. (unless brand new or freshly painted) Most all vehicles are subjected to (tear and wear) leaving permanent damages to the paint work Un~fixable through machine polishing. 《rock-chips etc.》
Serious visual defects would also include orange-peel, fish-eyes, runs, pitting, etching, solvent~ pop and as well as oxidation. More exacting attention to these locations will be needed and can be repaired through prefferably wet~sanding most of the time.

It’s a Brand-New Car?

Vehicles, even at the very high-end, undergo a build process, followed by the ordeal of transportation to the dealer. Once there, they often sit on lots or showroom floors and are frequently subjected to impromptu wipes and improperly executed washes, to say nothing of the local weather, itself – all without ever having been properly protected.
Once you’ve taken delivery of your new automotive investment, the very best way to secure it is with a professional detailing – because “new” doesn’t necessarily equate to “right”.

New Car Prep for Exotics

Most exotics are factory wet-sanded as a matter of course during the production process. Ninety percent of the time there will be at least a few D/A wet-sanding swirls remaining in the paint. Paint Correction and proper leveling are required to address those problem areas.See you soon.

SINGLE STAGE PAINT CORRECTION

As the name suggests, this level of paint correction utilizes just one stage of machine polishing (also referred to as one-step polishing). While not considered a “perfection detail” given the single stage process, a big transformation in the condition of the paint can be achieved. On softer paints (Japanese cars for instance), we can usually remove 50-70% of all swirls, haze, and light defects, whereas on harder paints (German brands), this could be 30-50%. There are a lot of different variables that dictate just how much correction that you can safely achieve in a one step process, and we approach each car and paint system accordingly to maximize results for the given budget or goals. There's no one system or product that works for all vehicles, and we are well-versed in all the modern polishes and techniques so that each vehicle can be tailored to accordingly.

MULTI-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION DETAIL

When you step up to the realm of multi-stage paint correction, you’re significantly improving the finish by removing all of the swirls, and all but the heaviest of scratches and defects. The photo examples above (before and after images) are of the multi-stage process and as you can see, the transformation is significant. This process starts with a heavy compounding machine polishing stage to remove the defects, and then followed by a secondary polishing stage to refine the finish and increase gloss and clarity. Given the differences in paint types, condition, and size of vehicles, the rate for the Multi-Stage Paint Correction varies, but we will consult with each vehicle owner to provide a more precise pricing structure. The paint type and condition will also dictate the level of correction, but typically this process on most cars will get rid of 80-95% of all defects. And at this level of correction, you’re getting very close to that of a brand new vehicle!
